Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This week we’re looking at the Top Ten books we could re-read forever.
There are so many books I would happily pick up and read again and again and, in the past few years, this list has only grown. Keeping this Top Ten to only ten books was, therefore, quite a challenge. But, as with all these lists, there are those books that ultimately deserve a place.
These are the books that I adored as a child and inspired my love of the weird, the magical, the fantastic and the witty; these are the books that will always have a place on my bookshelf.

I have so many books I keep meaning to re-read, but there’s never enough time. Maybe if we just stopped sleeping? lol

I typically don’t reread, but right now I am reading the Harry Potter books to my daughter before her bedtime. It’s been so long since I’ve read the books, I’m having a blast reliving the memories 😀

I don’t re- read much but I’d love to have time to do it more! The LotR books should have been on my list as well, and Narnia. I’m fond of thosel! I’ve never read the secret Garden but it looks like an awesome read.

I LOVED The Secret Garden as a kid! And The Hobbit is one i re-read in the last few years. Great choices!

Proxy, we have so many of the same books! The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Harry Potter and Jane Austen, although I chose Sense and Sensibility. 🙂

Good taste obviously! 😉 It was difficult choosing one Austen but Pride and Prejudice has a special place in my heart from being a small child 😀

Great list! I love the covers you chose for your books too. They’re all so pretty. And, while I’ve only read LotR and The Hobbit once, I do plan on rereading them at some point. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my blog.

They are fantastic books to read again and again. Tolkien has so much depth to his work that you can always find something that surprises you! 😀

What an awesome list… I haven’t read the Alan Garner book, but would fully agree with all the others – they are all gems:).

The Tales of Alderley by Garner are written about a town near to where I live so I think his writing always worked it’s way into our home life and school life as children! I really do recommend them as wonderful children’s books 😀

I’d say 7+ – Along with the first two books in the Alderley series I also loved Garner’s Owl Service and Elidor as a child. I’ve never read Boneland (Alderley #3) and understand it’s aimed at the grown up audience of the preceding books! 😀

I can’t re-read books.. like ever. Simply because my unread TBR is higher than the books that I have actually read! Yes, no time to re-read 😀

There are so many on your list that I love! Even though Tolkien books are long, they are definitely good for a reread because you never know what you might discover (or rediscover) along the way.
I need to reread all of Jane Austen’s books soon!

Oh definitely! I think I fall more and more in love with Middle Earth the more I re-read Tolkien. His books never get old 😀
