Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday where this week we’re looking at the books that gave us the biggest surprises.

I’m fairly certain that the majority of the books I’ve read have provided a good assortment of twists and turns to keep me hanging to the very last. Narrowing the list down therefore is a rather difficult task. This Top Ten considers those books that gave me the biggest surprises when I first read them, and that still surprise me when I think about them now. So, without giving anything away, here are my Top Ten… Books With Plot Twists and Surprises.heart

  1. A nice list of books here! What do you think about Jennifer Fallon’s Second Son trilogy? Worth reading? She released a book called The Lyre Thief a couple years ago, which I loved…but there’s been no news of a sequel in like forever. I’ve been thinking of going back to some of her older series, but I have no idea where to start.

    1. The sequel to the Lyre Thief is ‘Retribution’ and was released last year 🙂 the third one should be coming some time this year, Fallon announced that she finished writing it a couple of days ago.

And read them all 😀 they are all awesome!

          1. That’s kind of you to offer! I’m confident it should be coming soon though, iirc The Lyre Thief might have been released in the US later too. But it’s good to know the book is out there somewhere in the world, and there’s always the Book Depository if I get desperate, lol 😀

    2. Absolutely worth reading! Such an amazing trilogy 😀 I read it years ago but I’m just itching to do a re-read. I’ve not even read The Lyre Thief yet – it completely slipped my mind!

  2. Oh yes to Girl With All the Gifts. I completed it a week or so ago and was hooked the entire time I listened to the audio book. There is a plot twist in it that really shook me up. It’s what Mellony saw when she was at the theater.

  3. Ooh And Then there Were none- that has me curious. I’ll bet there are some nice twists in Christie’s books! And I’ve heard the Girl With All The Gifts has a nice twist too…

    1. They’re great, aren’t they?! I’m not sure I enjoyed the final surprise of The Girl With All the Gifts though…. I can take as much blood and violence that an author can throw at me but PLEASE give me a somewhat happy ending 😀
