I got so excited the second I saw the title of your post, and you did not disappoint! Discworld is one of my favorite series, and I’m planning to start it from the beginning soon. This just has me even more excited for it.

These are all amazing! (I love the “set a man on fire” one especially…) I’m only 2 books into Discworld, about to start #3, so you’re giving me lots to look forward to.

Ah this is a nice list — and reminds me I need to finish reading Discworld! I particularly like quote 7. I remember coming across it in the book and thinking it represented Terry Pratchett’s voice in the series very well: humorous and cutting!

Thank you! 😀 Humorous and cutting are very apt for describing Pratchett! I love how he subtly pokes fun of real world situations and weaves them into such wonderfully ridiculous stories!

I love that you picked one author and chose a variety of quotes, I feel like I got a really good sense of this writer’s style even though I haven’t read any of his books – yet. He definitely seems up my alley though!

Pratchett is so much fun! I highly recommend DIscworld as a witty and somewhat ridiculous fantasy adventure that pokes fun of the real world. 😀

Ah Pratchett… I’ve never read him, sadly. These are fun quotes! I like the one from Regiment a lot! And that last one too.
Need to do some Pratchett reading clearly at some point… 🙂

I’ve recently started reading Discworld and have only read the first two books so far so reading these quotes makes me think I have plenty to look forward to.

I love that you used all Discworld quotes. I almost did the same for LotRs. I’ve only read the Tiffany Aching series but I know if just bought another of his – can’t remember which one for the life of me!
